Based on known data, the present rate cannot possibly be over 0.66%. The last "Paint Crate" was removed from the drop system in the JPatch. The significantly higher upper bound does not necessarily imply that actual rate is higher.Īlso keep in mind that Strange Parts were introduced in the MaPatch. Keep in mind that old crates mainly contain Paints, and hence their upper bounds are higher. That means, the calculated unusual unbox rate is an Upper Bound.
What's the easiest way to trade keys for money in your opinion?Ĭheck out peeps like,
he could have done even more damage if he didn't make a bunch of stupid mistakes - but the bottom line is, you can't fucking trust anyone :( I had a lot of interested buyers who saw the value of the bulk discount but the person who i finally sold most of my backpack to turned out to be a long term scammer - at the time he was totally clean and bought from very highly trusted traders and people like myself (clean rep, admin status) and others to establish a reputation, then, months later went rogue, targeting much jucier targets and doing chargebacks. if you have to go with paypal, do you research on the buyer. if you want to sell for cash directly, try to use a service like transferwise as, unlike paypal, there's no way to chargeback. The safest way to sell your backpack is to sell for keys - it's very easy to turn keys into cash safely.
that's how bulk buyers make their profits - they have to resell your stuff one at a time which takes a lot of time and effort, so don't expect to get anywhere near your full value. You should go into the process with the expectation that you will only be able to get about 65% of the value of what you are selling. i think selling your entire backpack is actually easier, a lot of buyers will see profit in the extra little items. I made a google spreadsheet of what i was selling listing values and bulk discount (65%) and posted a link to it in trades here, on backpack.tf forums, reddit, etc. (i planned on continuing to play tf2 so i wanted to keep the cheaper cosmetics and my stranges). my situation was a little different as i didn't want to sell everything, just the silly expensive stuff like unusuals but the basics are the same - selling in bulk, giving a discount for a bulk buyer, and dealing with a large value (around $2500 worth of unusuals). I went through this process around a year ago so have some thoughts on the matter.
